East of the River Artists Panel Discussion

Selected artists from the exhibitions on display will discuss their work, DC’s arts scene, and the changing landscape where they live and make work.

Featuring artists from the 11th Annual East of the River exhibition, City Under Siege, and DC Artists East exhibition and moderated by Lawrence Green.

About the moderator:
Lawrence Green, filmmaker, photographer, and DJ is a native of Washington D.C. He graduated from Temple University’s Film and Media Arts and African American Studies programs. After graduating from Temple University, he held video production, television programming, and communication positions at various companies including Public Broadcasting Service, Prince Georges County Community College, and Murray Hill Productions. In 2010, Lawrence founded Time Traveling Media Inc. to produce original content and provide visual solutions for clients. In 2016, Lawrence Green won the Studio Daily Award which celebrates the top creatives in the country. Currently, Lawrence Green is producing multimedia projects for clients, expanding his photography portfolio, creating mixtapes and writing his next short film. He serves as Commission representing Ward 8 at the Washington, D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
