Errant Movement presents “oneness”
May 5, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - May 6, 2017 @ 9:30 pm$8 - $26
Errant Movement, a DC area modern dance company in their second year, will present a thought-provoking evening of works that look at inequality and injustices in our country through the lens of human experience and connection. The ideal of “oneness” is that we as humans are all one, and can come together as one, even though we are not the same and are beautiful in our differences. oneness seeks to explore heavy themes in a relatable way by looking at human experiences and emotions, and the title reflects the ultimate positivity and hope that this show seeks to exude. Errant Movement will present choreography by artistic director Rachel Turner as well as guest choreographers Mariana Barros, Imani Gaston, Jocelyn Isaac, and Shay Turner. They will share the stage with guest companies from the area, who will offer their own voices and artistic expressions surrounding these topics.
