IMMERSION: The Loves and Fears Project by Susana Raab

September 1, 2016 - September 30, 2016

FREE

IMMERSION is an interactive, multimedia installation series that will be held in 3 locations around Historic Anacostia neighborhood and offer visitors the chance to touch, create, contribute, and share.

This pop-up photography studio/gallery invites volunteers to have a photo shoot and write down their loves and fears on notepaper. This project celebrates the images of everyday people and highlights the connecting humanity during polarizing times. Selected work will be wheatpasted on posters around town and the gallery will be papered with proofs of the portraits and their notebook entries.

Gallery & Artist Hours: Thursdays, 1 – 7 pm and Saturdays 12 – 5 pm.
Artist Reception: September 9, 6 – 9 pm

IMMERSION is supported in part by award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
