WRAPTURE: Storytelling with Saris: Public Art Project Launch

Bangladeshi-American artist and climate activist Monica Jahan Bose presented this project to ANC8A on June 5, 2018 and applied for a public art grant to the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She was awarded the public art grant to create the WRAPTURE temporary art project with the help of the community, who will be paid for their time.

THE PROJECT LAUNCHES ON NOVEMBER 13 AND THE FIRST PAID WORKSHOP WILL TAKE PLACE ON NOVEMBER 27 @ NOON – 2 PM AT ANACOSTIA ARTS CENTER.

THE PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION WILL WRAP FIVE BUILDINGS IN SARIS ON APRIL 4, APRIL 14 & MAY 9, 2019.

Monica seeks paid assistants to sign up for the workshops as well as student interns who will
